He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Cornett and Clara Bennett; his son Donald Cornett; and his siblings, Franklin Cornett, Louis Cornett, Donald Bennett, Sharon Stewart, Jane Davis and Rosie Hendren.
He is survived by: his children, David Cornett of Jasper, GA, Franklin Cornett (Shannon) of Jasper, GA and Dreama Highfield of Hampton, GA; and his grandchildren, Brittney Shirley (Max Shirley), Angel Highfield (Leon Williams), Ashli Buchanan (Justin Buchanan), Cody Highfield, Douglas Cornett, Breanna Whiteman (Steven Whiteman) and Rachel Cornett. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
