It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Inez Heard of Jasper, Georgia, who passed away on December 3, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hampton and Mattie Hampton. She is survived by: her husband Marvin A. Heard Sr. of Jasper; her daughter Alisa; her son-in-law Willie Whitsett of Akron, Alabama; her children, Selene Heard of Riverdale and Marvin; her daughter-in-law Andrea Heard Jr. of Dunwoody, Georgia; her goddaughter Melissa Pettway of Canton; and her siblings, Otis (Fannie Hampton), Leo Hampton of Nelson, Curtis Hampton of Canton, Mitchell (Wynona Hampton), Lois Cherry of Jasper, Annie Ruth Moody of Marietta and Ruthie Jenkins of Marietta. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
