He was predeceased by: his parents, Alec Burdett and Daisy Pearl Scott Burdett; his daughter Martha Diane Burdett; and his great grandchild Rhylie Pierce. He is survived by: his wife Connie Burdett of Jasper; his daughter Sheila; his son-in-law Doug Morris of Ellijay; his son Irvin Jr.; his daughter-in-law Stephanie Burdett of Talking Rock; and his grandchildren, Steven, Codi Pierce of Jasper, Nikki, Lee Hensley of Ellijay, Kevin, Brianna Pierce of Buford, Ryan, Will Eubanks of Jasper, Jade, Noah Ralston of Ellijay, Casey Burdett of Talking Rock and Katie Burdett of Talking Rock. He is also survived by Fifteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, four sisters, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143).
