He is survived by: his wife Kerri Childers of Jasper; his daughter Courtney; his son-in-law Dustin Hancock of Jasper; his grandchildren, Lane, Connor and Avery Hancock; and his siblings, Raymond Childers of Jasper, Ruby Helton of Gurley, Alabama, Michelle Wishon of Ellijay and Lisha McClure of Jasper.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Roper Funeral Home and Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Ryo Baptist Church (13255-13275 Fairmount Hwy SE, Fairmount, GA 30139).
