He is survived by: his wife Cordia Joyce Jones Byers of Jasper; his daughter Michelle Byers Brown; his son-in-law David Brown of Florence; his son James Michael Byers (Lia) of Morrisville; his brother John; his sister-in-law Marlene Byers of Jacksonville; his sister Angie; and his brother-in-law Chad Jacks of Pickens. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
