He was predeceased by: his parents, Hub Gibson and Mary Gibson; his sisters, Betty Childers and Patsy Morris; his nephew Doug Childers; and his great-niece Allison McDaniel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Andy (Linda Gibson), L. C. Gibson of Canton and Gladys; his brothers-in-law, Lenard Childers of Jasper and Horace Childers of Jasper; his aunt Mary Lou Pettigrew of Jasper; and his siblings' children, Teddy Childers, Penny Aaron, Dwight Childers, Vickie Smith, Roger Childers, Charlie Childers, Andrea McDaniel, Hope Tew and Kevin Gibson.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donate to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in honor of Jerry.
