He is survived by: his wife Marsha Barnes of Hinton; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Hannah Barnes of Louisville, KY; his daughter Shelia Elrod of Hinton; his siblings, John B. Barnes Jr. of Hinton, Jack (Sandy Barnes) and Linda; his brother-in-law John McIntosh of Warner Robins; and his grandchildren, Ty Barnes, Zoe Barnes, Cora Barnes and Madelyn Elrod. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will accept flowers or donations to Hinton United Methodist Church, Hinton Volunteer Fire Department, or Pickens County FFA Alumni.
