He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Long and Thelma Mabry Long; and his wife Brenda Jean Long. He is survived by: his son Larry; his daughter-in-law Jessica Long; and his daughters, Lyn (Gerald Folds), Denise (Jon Shipp) and Christina (Richard Russell). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great‑grandchildren, and 1 great‑great‑grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Cagle Funeral Home (364 E Church St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Robert A. Cagle Memorial Chapel.
