Lucy Hughett Duncan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2025, at the age of 91, Lucy Hughett Duncan of Jasper, Georgia, born in Robbins, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lucy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph J. Duncan; her daughter Susan Duncan Murphy; and her parents, Horace Hughett and Gladys Hughett. She is survived by: her son Larry Duncan (Katie) of Talking Rock, Georgia. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Roper Funeral Home and Crematory (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home (206 Holly St, Jasper, GA 30143).
