He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Wilkie and Gladys Wilkie; his daughters, Regina Wilkie and Sherry Wilkie; and his siblings, Edward Wilkie, Edna Mae Beasley and Flondell Cagle.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Plumley Wilkie of Tate; his daughter June of Tate; his grandchildren, Blake of Ellijay and Brooke of Tate; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Reagan, Emmie and Harlan Jase.
