She was predeceased by: her husband Horace Chesley Kirk; her parents, Dallas Byess and Vada Byess; and her siblings, Kate Little, Betty Parks and Bobby Byess.

She is survived by: her children, Steve Kirk, Sherri Kirk of Talking Rock, Joan Hendrix, Toddy Hendrix of Marble Hill, Judith Kirk, Karen Kesselburg of Tennessee, Joyce Anderson and Wayne Anderson of Jasper; her grandchildren, Donna, Scott Stewart, Ami, Kenny Jones, Tricia, Jack Roberts and Amanda Anderson; her great grandchildren, Kayla Collis, Lindsey Smith, Ryan Stewart, Tyson Jones, Peyton Jones, Brett Cash, Joli Anderson and Aiden Anderson; her great great grandchild Amelia Cash; and her sister Ruby Byess Wall of Cartersville.
