It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas M. Shaw of Jasper, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Thomas M. Shaw; and his wife Judy Holmes Shaw. He is survived by: his sons, Tripp Shaw (Erin Carpenter Shaw) of Ball Ground and Cooper Shaw (Taylor Park) of Dothan, Alabama; his grandchildren, Grayson and Emma Kate of Ball Ground; his sisters, Martha Shaw and Kathryn Amos; his sister-in-law Janet Davis; his brother Ricky; his sister-in-law Connie Holmes; and his siblings' children, Lina Davis, Maria Campano, Candra Sellers and Tyler Holmes (Shaw).

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Judy Shaw Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Piedmont Mountainside Auxiliary, Piedmont Mountainside Hospital, 1266 Hwy 515.

“Tommy Shaw was one of the most genuine, kind and sweetest souls. He was a true southern gentleman. I had the pleasure of getting to know him personally from him being a patient at our dental office. We spoke regularly during his frequent visits. He will be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends, as I only knew him for a couple of years my heart is broken. I am sure he is in heaven now with his beloved wife he so fondly spoke of. RIP Tommy. Sincerely, Anita Newsom”
