He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Grady and Mary Josephine Ferrell; his wife Betty Poole Ferrell; his siblings, Fred (Hattie Ferrell), Roy (Irma Ferrell) and Ruth; and his brother-in-law Sims Boudreau.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam (Richard Kirkland) and Lavonne (Mark Doty); his grandchildren, Brooke Kendall, Jennifer, Paul Bradley, Allison and Clint Saggus; his great grandchildren, Bryson, Campbell Thurmond, McKenzie Thurmond, Connor Rigsby, Baylee Thurmond, Merritt Thurmond, Luke Kendall, Alexis Kendall, Grace Saggus and Georgia Saggus; and his great great grandchildren, Kayden Thurmond, Waylon Thurmond and Cayson Rigsby.
