He was predeceased by: his parents, John Handy and Ava Handy; and his son David Handy. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Lathem Handy of Jasper; his son Wade; his daughter-in-law Heather Handy of Marietta; his sons, Mark Handy of Macon and Brandon; his daughter-in-law Jessica Lathem of Jasper; his daughter Rebecca; his son-in-law Erik Lentz of Atlanta; and his grandchildren, Janey, Christian, Hillary, Gage, Madison, Layla-Grace, Skyler and Allie.

In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations in honor of Mr. Handy to Pickens Sheriff's Foundation or to CARES.
