It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Coleman Blackwell of Jasper, Georgia, who passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Blackwell of Jasper; his children, Michael Blackwell of Jasper, Steve (Rhonda Blackwell) and Jean; his children-in-law, Charles Noland of Jasper and Christi Blackwell of Gainesville; his siblings, Jerry (Brenda Blackwell), Roy (Gail Blackwell), Joe (Darlene Blackwell), Sue Tatum of Canton, Joyce Davis of Omaha, NE and Patricia (Jerry Norbeck); and his sister-in-law Faye Blackwell of Jasper. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to Veterans Park in Jasper.
