She was predeceased by : her parents, Carroll Taylor Morgan and Mozelle Holeman Morgan; her husband James Ned Shumake; and her friend Billy Sosebee. She is survived by : her daughters, Cindy McMullan (Brant) of Jefferson, Carol Ann Ligon (Rusty) of Gainesville and Lee Ann Pittman (Chad) of Gainesville; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sara, Cathryn McMullan, Eli, Emily Ligon, Brady and Bryce Pittman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Talmo Baptist Church.
