It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Dutton of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Craig and Sarah Holcomb Church; her son Jeffrey Earl Franklin; her siblings, Johnny Craig, Henry Craig and Margie Cofield; her great grandchild Aleya Stinchcomb; and her stepfather Raymond Church.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Holland (Allen) of Commerce, GA, Joann Parker (Fess) of Jefferson, GA, Reney Stinchcomb (Terrell) of Clarkesville, GA and Mary Sears of East Liverpool, OH; and her brother Timmy Craig (Edith) of Bowman, GA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
