He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Bobby and Laverne Payton. He is survived by: his wife Jessica Leanne Payton Simons; his daughters, Payton Grace and Presleigh Hope; his parents, Timothy Otis "Tim" Simons of Woodville, GA and Vicki Lynn Adams Morris of Woodville, GA; his brother Curtis Simons of Woodville, GA; his parents-in-law, Jane and Don Hendrix of Royston, GA; and his sisters-in-law, Rhonda Cox (Shane) of Greenwood, SC, Barbara Suttles (Eric Wright) of Augusta, GA and Charmin Sexton (Kyle) of Elberton, GA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bernstein Funeral Home (3195 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA 30606). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (2081 US-129 BUS, Jefferson, GA 30549). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at the Forest Hills Memorial Park.
