She is survived by: her husband Roger Thurmond of Athens; her son Joel Norton (Tammy) of Colbert; her grandchildren, Kelley McDaniel (Joey) of Commerce, Blake Jennings (Leighanne) of Jefferson and Brittany Potts (Seth) of Jefferson; her stepgrandsons, Bradley Thurmond and Donovan Thurmond; her siblings, Ruby Smith (Harold), Geraldine Hill, Weyman Hill (Frances) of Banks County and Ricky Hill (Violet) of Banks County; her stepsons, Tim and Tom Thurmond; and her great grandchildren, Landon McDaniel, Katie Mae Jennings, Locke Potts and Turner Potts.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at the Evans Memory Gardens (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549).
