He was predeceased by: his brother Marvin Barrett. He is survived by: his family Jimmy; his wife Marilyn Chatham Barrett; his children, Kathryn and John; his brother Wayne Barrett; and his grandchildren, Amanda Webb, Holly Navarre, Alex Umstead, Nick Umstead, Katelyn Umstead, Kristy Pritchett and John Barrett, Jr.. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at the Evans Memory Gardens (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549).
