He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlie James Marvin Snelling and Thelma Tallula McCarty Snelling; and his sister Betty Jean Bennett. He is survived by : his wife Janice Gooch Snelling of Jefferson; his sons, James Otis Snelling (Emily) of Jefferson and John Douglas Snelling (Megan) of Jefferson; his stepdaughter Jennifer Wetherford (Randy) of Jefferson; and his grandchildren, Whit Wetherford, Jackson Snelling, John Henry Snelling and Duncan Snelling.
