It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maggie Patterson McClain of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Duffel and Lera Christian Duffel; her husband J. Patterson (Walter McClain); her sons, Danny "Dino", Mike and Jimbo Patterson; and her siblings, Rea Smith, Glennie Brookshire, Dale Turner, Grady, Horace "Tug", Willie and Alan Duffel.
She is survived by: her son Steve Patterson (Lynn) of Toccoa; and her daughter-in-law Angela Patterson of Jefferson.
