She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Payne and Lona Jackson Payne; her son Gary Sean Stringer; her siblings, Norris, Peggy Shirley, Hazel Lancaster, Teeter Bell and Joe Payne; and her son-in-law Brad Marlowe.
She is survived by: her children, Leigh Marlowe and John "John Boy" Stringer; her grandchildren, Morgan S. Williams (Michael), Jake Marlowe (Danielle) and Will Stringer; her great grandchildren, Adam, Charlie-Brad, Parker and Garrett Williams; and her sisters, Neta Hix and Reba Wofford.
