She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Holmes and Verdie Norris Holmes; and her husband Roger Benton. She is survived by: her children, Todd Benton (Karen) of Jefferson and Renee Klein (Jason) of Jefferson; her siblings, Jackie McElroy of Jefferson, Evelyn Cathey of Jefferson, Beth Cook of Gainesville and Thomas Holmes of Cleveland; and her grandchildren, Austin, Kaylee, Kaitlyn and Gavin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Woodbine Cemetery (147 Athens St, Jefferson, GA 30549).
