She was predeceased by : her parents, John Carlton Carruth, Sr. and Maude Fleming Carruth; her husband Grady Eskew; her grandson Robert Neal Cowan Jr.; and her great grandchild Kellan Victoria Cowan.

She is survived by : her siblings, Clara C. Jones, Clarence Darrow Carruth, John Carlton Carruth, Jack Carruth and Fred Donald Carruth; her daughters, Lynda E. Congi (Pete) of Nicholson and Cathy Gordon of Jefferson; her siblings, Mary Grace Blackstock of Talmo, Billy Homer Carruth (Vonda) of Jefferson, Harvey Robert Carruth (Carol) of Locust Grove, Norris Giles Carruth (Alice) of Riverdale and Charles Lee Carruth (Juanita) of Cornelia; her sisters-in-law, Charlyne Carruth, Roberta Carruth and Janet Carruth; and her grandchildren, Michael Cowan (Katie), Carla Whitley (Tommy), Marc Gordon (Kelli), Kris Gordon (Ginger) and Erik Gordon (Ashleigh).
