Though Wanda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wanda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Hoyt Cecil McGinnis; and her siblings, Charles David Hall, Nell Cain and Barbara Dean McCannon. She is survived by: her mother Frances Elizabeth Hall McGinnis of Jefferson; her husband Wayne Jones of Jefferson; her daughter Penny Elizabeth Jones of Jefferson; her grandsons, Todd "J. T." Minish and Gage C. Minish of Jefferson; and her siblings, Douglas McGinnis of Flowery Branch and Barbara Cox of Jefferson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at the Evans Memory Gardens (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549).
