It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Lauren McCowan of Jefferson, Georgia, born in Lynch, Kentucky, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Jewell McCowan and Muriel Boehm of Virginia; and his wife Melba Burgett McCowan. He is survived by : his daughters, Calla Davis of Jefferson and Kayla Holland of Travelers Rest; his grandchildren, Matthew Davis of Winder, GA, Calla Maria Davis-Boozer of Portland, Andrew Davis (Celeste) of Commerce, GA, Emily Holland of Travelers Rest, SC and Jake Holland of Tustin, CA.; his great grandchildren, Vera Davis-Boozer, Quinn Davis-Boozer, Lennox Davis-Boozer, Opal Davis-Boozer, Lucas Davis and Camden Davis; and his pet Billy Cooper.
