It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Watson Jones (Jeffersonville, Georgia), born in Macon, Georgia, who passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Willie Fred Watson and Elizabeth "Betty" Tate Watson; her daughters, Stephanie Leigh Moore and Lauren Melissa Jones; and her siblings, Norma Jean Watson, Linda W. Young and James Stephen "Steve" Watson.

She is survived by : her husband Douglas H. Jones; her grandchildren, Brooke McCarthy (Hunter), Donald "Bubba" Warren and Brian "T. J." Burke; and her siblings, Theresa W. Sanders (Hoyt), Patsy W. Sams, Barbara Keasler (Terry), Angie W. Hanson (Randy), William "Bill" Watson (Shelia) and John Watson.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Reece Funeral Home Inc. (15548 US-80, Jeffersonville, GA 31044). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
