She was predeceased by: her husband Lester A. Eastland, Jr.; her grandson Keith Thurmon; her great grandchild Nora; and her son-in-law Bill Thurmon, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Marcia Schirdewahn (Art) of Illinois and Sandra Thurmon of Bristol; and her grandchildren, Billy (Tara), Michael (Kate), Matt (Erin) and Kristen (Michael). She is also survived by several great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
