With solemn reverence, we commemorate Carlton Harvey James of Jesup, Georgia, whose life came to an end on May 9, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Luellen James; his sons, William, Don and Ronnie Weathers; his siblings, Jerry James and Carolyn Williams; and his parents, Rev. Baxter James and Lucille James.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Clark James; his children, Cindy Miller of Laurens, SC, Sheila Young of Blackshear and Lee James of Baxley; and his siblings, Vaunda Faye Ray (Larry) of Gardi, Teresa Corbitt (Danny) of Richmond Hill and Tommy James (Kathy) of Brunswick. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 37 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home (860 US-301, Jesup, GA 31546). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rinehart and Sons Chapel (860 US-301, Jesup, GA 31546).
