He was predeceased by: his wife Lamanda Kay Nix; his father Johnny Virlyn Nix; and his grandmother Alice Blocker. He is survived by: his daughters, Brandi Thornton (Bailey) of Odum and Brittney Crook (Ben) of Jesup; his grandsons, Beckett Thornton and Emerson Crook; his mother Edna Nix Arnold of Perry; his sisters, Sharon Lassiter (Mike) of Perry and Mary Mason (Steve) of Greenville, SC; and his pet Swagger. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
