He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia McDuffie Smith; his parents, Pete Smith and Eula Smith; and his siblings, Alvernor Smith, Beulah Ann Combs and Diwanna Hardie.
He is survived by: his sons, Craig Smith (Amy) of White Oak and Brian Smith (Nicki) of Jesup; his grandchildren, Brianna, Caden and Kylee Smith; his great grandchild Kennedy Gest; and his sister Darlene Carter of Odum. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
