In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gerald Wayne leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gerald Wayne may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Wayne Manning, Sr.; his sister Stephanie Manning Wainright; his nephew Roy Michael Sapp; his great-nephew Bowen Wainwright; and his mother-in-law Frances Lois Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Manning of Jesup; his sons, Gerald Wayne Manning, III and Alexander "Alex" Manning; his mother Dianne Manning of Jesup; his sisters, Sheila Brockington (Donald) of Jesup and Becky Giddens (Josh) of Folkston; and his father-in-law Alex Hall (Mary Frances). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home (860 US-301, Jesup, GA 31546). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Little Creek Baptist Church (5027 Little Creek Rd, Jesup, GA 31546).
