She was predeceased by: her husband Kermit "Lamar" Johns; the father of her children Alvin "Lloyd" Johns; her parents, Victoria Pearl and Carl Story; her daughter Margaret Ann Heathcock; her great grandchild Sampson Spurlock; and her siblings, J. L., Kirby, Lavern Story, Leona Maxwell, Ollie-May Johnson, Mary Ann Browning, Lucille Cole and Syble McGlamory.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Crummey, Jr. (Roy) of Jesup and Charlene Smith (Darrell) of Nahunta; her sister Earlene Prilgrim; and her grandchildren, LeeAnn Wilkes (David), David Crummey, Curtis Crummey (Lila), Rebecca Spurlock (Joey), Edward Johns, D. J. Smith (Marissah) and Heather Smith. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rinehart Chapel (860 US-301, Jesup, GA 31546). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
