She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ross Aspinwall and Nora Lee Carter Aspinwall; her husband Carl E. Scarborough, Sr.; her daughter Deborah Scarborough Dean; her grandson Phillip Bacon; and her sister Doris Stephens.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Thomas (Richard Kamppi) of Bloomingdale, Georgia, Carl Scarborough (Vicki) of Odum and Nathan Scarborough (Amy) of Odum; her siblings, Vernon Aspinwall (Vivian) of Jesup, Bernice Aspinwall (Judy) of Jesup, Varney Aspinwall of Rincon, Joe Aspinwall of Odum, Aldean Kay of Jesup, Eloise Freeman of Jesup, Allene Nevil of Statesboro and Audrey Flowers (Wayne) of Jesup; her grandchildren, Becky Patterson of Bloomingdale, Joey Scarborough (Ericka) of Odum, Brandon Scarborough (Natalie) of Louisiana, Tyler Thomas of Baxley, Alexis Long (Zack) of Odum and Nick Child (Taylor) of Odum, Tyler; and her children, Maddie of Jesup, Kami Mobley (Randy) of Odum, Zack Mallard of Odum and Clint Mallard (Christina) of Odum. She is also survived by great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Howard & Jones Funeral Home (777 S 1st St, Jesup, GA 31545). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Piney Grove Cemetery.
