With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman Lawton Lewis Sr. (Jesup, Georgia), who passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Foy S. Lewis and Flossie Bennett Lewis; and his siblings, Ethel Lewis, Frances Anderson, Vida Aspinwall, Vernon, Elmer, Linton and Jerry Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Matilda "Tillie" Dukes Lewis of Jesup; his children, Herman Lewis, Jr. (Brenda) of Jesup, Pam Baatz (Rod) of Maple City and Ginger Pumpelly (Josh) of Franklin, Tennessee; his brother Julian Lewis (Carol) of Jesup; his grandchildren, Amy Lang, Garrett Lewis (Hanna), Alicia Baatz, Jordan Baatz and Lewis Pumpelly; and his great grandchildren, Aidan, Seth and Levi. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
