He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Jackson and Jean Griffis Jackson. He is survived by : his close friend Darlene Paker of Jesup; his sons, Evan Jackson (Bree) of Jesup and Jarrett Jackson (Kendyl) of Jesup; his siblings, Candy Hayes (Rex) of Jesup, Sandy Jackson of Screven, Lynn Graham (Jeffrey) of Screven and Bruce Jackson of Screven; and his grandchildren, Josie Mae Jackson and Jett Brooks Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Old Bethel Baptist Church (161 Old Bethel Church Rd, Odum, GA 31545).
