She is survived by : her husband Rev. Jimmy Dowdy of Jesup; her son Gary Barwick of Jesup; her grandson Blake; and her siblings, Joan Kennedy of Screven, Janet Evors of Odum, A. W. Lane (Becky) of Jesup and Kenny Lane (Brenda) of Jesup. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
