He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Mullins Dent and James Calloway Dent. He is survived by: his son James Perry Dent (Calysta) of Jesup; his grandchildren, Dylan and Jada Dent; his siblings, Margaret Marie Dent of Savannah, Jamie Dent Segrest (Bob) of Rixeyville, VA, Douglas Dent (Terry) of Athens, GA and George Dent (Rebecca); his siblings' children, Brantley Dent, Megan Dent Zell (Elliott), William Segrest, Maggie Dent and Mollie Dent Cornell (Jacob); his great-nieces, Rowan Dent, Mariah Zell and Olivia Martinez; his stepdaughter Jennifer Turman Smith (Jared); his stepgrandchildren, Makayla Madray (Alan), Ridge Johnson and Rayna Rodgers (Chance); his stepson T. J. Turman; and his daughter Taylor Turman.
