With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Matthew Williams (Jesup, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Matthew left this world on September 17, 2025 at the age of 55, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Matthew departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Matthew. Though Matthew may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Williams and Melinda Harden Williams; his sons, Jonathan Matthew and Michael Wade Williams; and his aunt Shelly Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Williams of Jesup; his daughters, Kelsey Arnett (Joseph) of Sterling, Hannah-Marie Wiggins (Conner) of Cedar Crossing and Savannah Williams of Jesup; and his uncle Charles Williams of Dublin.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howard & Jones Funeral Home (777 S 1st St, Jesup, GA 31545). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pineview Cemetery.
