Rodney left this world on December 13, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tyre and Nell Harper Tyre; and his brother-in-law Robert Madray. He is survived by: his son Rodney Tyre, Jr. (Mallary) of Odum; his siblings, Nelda Albert (Buck) of Crestview, Edwin Tyre (Kay) of Hawthorne, David Tyre (Jane) of Gardi and Shirley Madray of Brunswick; and his grandchildren, Maddux, Mosley, Gabriele, Avary and Camden Tyre. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Howard & Jones Funeral Home (777 S 1st St, Jesup, GA 31545). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gardi Baptist Church (981 Morning Glory Cir, Jesup, GA 31546). A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Gardi Cemetery.
