It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Timothy Herron of Jonesboro, Georgia, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Jones and James Robert Herron; and his wife Marge Herron. He is survived by: his son Steve Herron; his stepchildren, Bob Bennett and Rhonda Hill; his sister Jane Minnix; his daughter Lacee Crowe (Donnie); his grandchildren, Cohen and Parker Crowe; his sister Jackie Herron; and his grandchildren, Anzley, Ryan, Timothy, Zachery and Paris.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ford Stewart Funeral Home Inc. (2047 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro, GA 30236). The inurnment will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
