He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wright Derryberry; his daughter Teresa Flood; his grandchildren, Kris Akers, Tylar Akers, Joshua Smith and Nathan Stamey; and his siblings, Dale Corbett and Tammy Foxworth. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mowell Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Fayetteville (180 N Jeff Davis Dr, Fayetteville, GA 30214).
