She is survived by: her husband James Monroe; her children, Benjamin McClendon (Amina), James McClendon, Gregory Richardson, Audrea Richardson and Jazmyne Monroe; and her sisters, Brenda Gibson, Tierra Berry and Viola Walker. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel (8968 Fayetteville Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30238). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Legacy Funeral Home, Inc. (8968 Fayetteville Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30238).
