He is survived by: his wife Lisa Alston Barksdale; his daughter LaToya Barksdale of Atlanta, Georgia; his stepdaughter Shannon Harris; his grandchildren, DeAsia Barksdale and Decorian Risby; his sister Zenobia Barksdale of Lake Oconee, Georgia; his aunt Nora "Aunt Bea" Norwood of Bronx; and his uncles, Jerry Barksdale of Crawfordville and Sammy Lee Gay of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A reception was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc. (1876 2nd Ave, Decatur, GA 30032).
