He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Sandra Melvin; his mother Darcas Melvin Woods (Sam); his grandchild Jaylen Butler; his siblings, Rodney Melvin (Cynthia), Karen Godwin, Irish Hayes, Donnie Corner (Henry) and Eunice Boone; and his siblings-in-law, Tony Harris, Charles Harris (Yvonne), Cynthia Roberts, Shirley Darby and Annie Mobbs. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The family is requesting everyone to wear a face mask to remain in compliance with the CDC guidelines.

“To the Melvin Family. You know my heart is torn in pieces upon hearing of this passing. We walked, learned, and grew up in the Lord together in England. I pray that God will comfort all of your hearts during your time of mourning. We talked often about receiving the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus. He is now where we all want to go.
