He is survived by: his wife Robin Herring; his children, Brandon Lee Herring (Tracey) of Gordo, AL and Casey Herring Simpson (Mason) of Perry, GA; and his grandchildren, Collin, Clay, Chloe Herring, Coleman and Cason Simpson.
