We are sad to announce that on May 17, 2025, Kenneth Lamar Lester of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Lewis Lester and Dorothy Dickerson Lester; his sister Evelyn Lester Dean; and his son-in-law Darrell Seward. He is survived by: his wife Linda Minter Lester; his daughters, Lyric Lester (Maria Wild) of Largo, FL and Lisa Lester Seward of Powder Springs; his brother Wayne Lester (Dolly) of Woodstock; his grandson Jeffrey Landers (Megean) of Cave City, AR; his great grandchild Laynie; and his daughter Michelle Skelton Cook (Ronnie) of Austell. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church (561 Veterans Memorial Hwy SE, Mableton, GA 30126). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Lamar's memory be made to Mt. Harmony Baptist Church at https://mtharmony.org.

“I extend my deepest sympathy to the Lester family for the loss of Lamar, husband and father. Besides being a great father-in-law, for a time, he was a fun golf buddy of my brother Darrell prior to his "no longer" play days. They were each other's way to not go shopping with the wives and sisters. As for me, he was a great comfort when my brother was ill. Our private discussions of the time helped me through a very difficult time. God speed, Lamar! Cindy Seward”
