She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Adams and Maude Adams; her husband James E. Brown; her daughter Patsy Gross; and her brothers, James and Jerry Adams.

She is survived by: her daughter Lojuana Purvis; her brother Johnny Adams (Bonnie); and her grandchildren, Chris Rutherford (Kelly), Callie Martin (Robby), DeeDee Johnston and Lindsey Baughman. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
