It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnie Sylvester Sr. of Kingsland, Georgia, who passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Hiram Sylvester and Mabel Aldridge Sylvester Hinson; his wife Edna Sylvester; his brother Kenneth Sylvester (Pat); his nephew Dale Sylvester, Jr.; and his grandson Thomas Herrin.

He is survived by: his child Donnie Sylvester; his brothers, Dale Sylvester (Betty) and Noah Porter (Betty); his daughters-in-law, Wendy Sylvester and Lisa Denmark; his grandchildren, Tyler Murray (Jessica), Taron Herrin and Donnie "Sly" Sylvester, III (Cayla); his great grandchildren, Matthew Renfroe, Tessa Murray, Waylen Herrin, Rhett Murray, Brennan Sylvester and Wyatt Herrin; his nieces, Sherri Sylvester Rios, Pam Barbee (Jeff) and Nicole Sylvester McLaurin (Frank); and also Laurie Morton.
